What Is Voluma?
Voluma is an FDA approved filler that specifically targets lack of volume and sagging skin to offer a subtle lift to the face. Juvederm Voluma XC is the first FDA-approved filler for adding volume to the cheek area. The injectable gel formula uses hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the skin, and requires little to no downtime.
How Does Voluma Work?
Juvéderm Voluma XC, uses Allergan’s Vycross technology that results in a smooth gel. It also contains lidocaine to help numb the area during an injection procedure. The filler is specifically designed to lift sagging areas. What makes it different is that it uses a lower molecular weight hyaluronic acid that allows for increased cross-linking that gives the product an ideal lift capacity for the midface.
What is the difference between Juvederm and Juvederm Voluma XC?

How Long Does Voluma Last?
Results demonstrated that almost 50 percent of patients were maintaining optimal correction at two years. Similarly, patients demonstrated clinically significant results after almost three years. Patients received touch-up treatment after 30 days as necessary and were followed up at one month, three months and then quarterly for up to two years, according to the study.
