KYBELLA® (deoxycholic acid)/PCDC Lipo-Dissove injection is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness, sometimes referred to as “double chin”. KYBELLA® (lipolysis injections) is a medication that is injected under the skin to disrupt fat cells and reduce the amount of fat in the treated area. 

PCDC is a natural compound solution that contains a mixture of a phosphatidylcholine and sodium deoxycholate, a bile salt that aids waste removal. Because the fat is gradually chemically liquefied and removed by the body’s own processes, the treatment is gentle. The fat melts away evenly with natural looking results. The skin is even slightly tightened around the areas treated by injections because the same chemical that breaks down your fat can also stimulate the production of new collagen. PCDC can be used to correct a double chin, a slightly protruding belly, cottage cheese thighs, an overly thick waist, and many other areas of the body where fat deposits tend to accumulate.

Our practitioner will design a treatment plan tailored to help you improve your chin profile. During your treatment sessions, we will administer KYBELLA® into the fat under your chin using multiple injections. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 treatment sessions. Up to 6 treatment sessions may be administered spaced no less than one month apart.

You should not be pregnant, nursing an infant, have a history of a bleeding disorder or infection of the area to be treated. Also, you should tell you physician if you take any blood thinners or aspirin or have a history of any issue with lidocaine or epinephrine.

Although the possibility of experiencing complications is actually fairly remote, PCDC is not recommended for anyone who currently has any of the following medical conditions: HIV, Hepatitis C, active cancer, liver disease (active or end-stage), kidney disease (active or end-stage), bleeding disorders, diabetes, thyroid problems, pregnant or nursing.
